PUTIN: A Revolutionary Film Using Groundbreaking AI Technology

This week, we had the privilege of speaking with renowned director Patryk Vega about his highly anticipated film, PUTIN. Slated for release on January 10th, the film has already been sold to 68 countries. Bold, controversial, and politically charged, PUTIN has sparked debates even before its debut. During our fascinating Zoom call with Vega—who joined us from Poland—the director shared insights into the cutting-edge technology used to bring this ambitious project to life.

The film delves into Vladimir Putin’s life, chronicling his journey from a ten-year-old boy to his real-life events spanning six decades, culminating in a fictionalized ending. Vega revealed that PUTIN pushes the boundaries of cinema by utilizing groundbreaking artificial intelligence (AI) technology to transform a Polish actor into a lifelike recreation of Vladimir Putin. This marks the first time in cinematic history that AI and CGI have been used to such an extent for a leading character.

Shot across multiple countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Syria, Jordan, and Poland, The Polish studio AIO developed the advanced AI and CGI technology that powers the transformation, setting a new standard for realism and innovation in filmmaking.

Produced by the independent company XYZE, PUTIN is set to screen to show compelling storytelling with state-of-the-art technology to create a unique cinematic experience.
