Rebecca Minkoff Exits Bravo’s ‘The Real Housewives Of New York City’ After 1 Season

Feb 4, 2025

It’s a wrap for Rebecca Minkoff on Bravo‘s The Real Housewives of New York City.

After one season, the handbag designer is leaving the franchise and starting a new chapter of her life.

“2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever,” Minkoff said in a statement posted on Instagram. “The last month has given me a new perspective on wanting to focus on my wildly amazing 4 kids, my supportive husband, my business of 20 years, the Female Founder Collective, my podcast and MY BOOK.”

Minkoff joined the franchise in Season 15 in a “friend of” role, meaning she was only recurring and not a full-time cast member. The entrepreneur seemed to struggle with confrontation, especially when her co-stars questioned her Scientology beliefs.

“As much as I have learned along the way with this franchise and fans, I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women and raising my family,” she continued. “I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter. Time to turn the page.”

Minkoff announced her departure after RHONY Season 15 wrapped on Bravo. She was featured in the two-part reunion, making a small appearance in the episode aired on Tuesday, February 4. Minkoff aired her grievances with the ladies, saying their questions about Scientology didn’t seem genuine and the main reason why she didn’t open up to them during her time on the show.

The RHONY Season 15 cast included Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Erin Lichy, Jenna Lyons, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, and Racquel Chevremont.
